These terms apply to the genome personality report service run by Gunner Hardy (contact: [email protected]). By uploading a file you agree to them.

1. What the service is

The service reads a whole-genome file and produces a one-page report: polygenic scores for the Big Five personality traits, adjusted for ancestry, an MBTI lean, and the published replication record of well-known personality variants. It is research and educational output.

2. What it is not

• It is not a medical or diagnostic test, not a psychological assessment, and not advice. Nothing in a report should change a medical, psychological, legal, employment, financial or relationship decision.
• Genetic scores for personality explain only a small share (about 1 to 3 percent) of how people differ. Environment, upbringing, chance and choices matter far more. The report shows this uncertainty on every result.
• The scores were developed mainly in people of European ancestry and are less accurate for everyone else, even after the ancestry adjustment the report applies.
• The report must not be used to judge, screen, select or discriminate against anyone, including in hiring, insurance, lending, housing or the choice of embryos.

3. Your responsibilities

• You are 18 or older.
• You upload only your own genome, or a genome whose owner has given you permission to do so.
• You understand that a genome also carries information about your biological relatives.
• You do not try to access another person's report, overload the service, or use it in breach of the law.

4. Your data

How your file, report and email address are handled is set out in the privacy notice. In short: the genome file is deleted as soon as the report is built, the email address is used once and discarded, and the report is deleted after 72 hours.

5. Availability and changes

The service is provided as is, without guarantee that it will be available, error-free or suitable for any purpose. We may change, pause or end it at any time. If these terms change, their version changes and the upload page asks for consent again.

6. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Gunner Hardy is not liable for decisions made on the basis of a report, or for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
